Course Description:  Georgia implemented a Towing and Recovery Incentive Program (TRIP) in January 2008 to reduce the impact of major traffic incidents in Metro Atlanta by clearing commercial vehicle incidents in 90 minutes or less.  Only towing companies with fully trained operators in advanced heavy towing and recovery may participate in TRIP.  The offered training will help towing companies achieve this education requirement, and it will give responders the knowledge necessary to ensure that correct procedures are followed at major incident scenes including:

• Operator Safety
• Safe Driving Practices
• Vehicle Inspection
• Equipment Inspection
• Working Load Limit
• Lift Capacity
• Tow Capacity
• Scene Assessment
• Introduction to the Importance of Resistance
• Basic Winching
• Attachment Points
• Carrier Transporting
