SHRP2 Train-The-Trainer, May 18 & 19

The TIME Task Force is pleased to offer a free, 10-hour train-the-trainer session for the nationally recognized SHRP2 traffic incident management course. Receive the knowledge and materials needed to deliver the four-hour SHRP2 course to all classifications of responders.

The training is free, but you must attend both days to receive certification.

May 18 - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
May 19 - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

SHRP2 TIM Training (Free)
Feb. 7 - 9, 2017 - Two sessions daily
Catoosa County Fire Department (5282 Evitt St., Ringgold)

Three days of four-hour traffic incident management training sessions available. All first responders are invited to attend this training. The SHRP2 comprehensive curriculum uses a common set of scene-safety practices and advanced standards across all responder disciplines. 

8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (two identical sessions offered daily)

Highway Work Zone TIM Training Webinar (Free)
Feb. 8, 2017 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The US DOT FHWA has developed a new training presentation for first responders on the best practices on prevention, response and follow-up involving Work Zone Traffic Incident Management (WZ TIM). Dealing with motor vehicle crashes or similar incidents in a highway construction zone requires the combined skills of many people including police, fire, emergency medical services (EMS), highway agency, and contractor personnel. WZ-TIM is more complicated than ordinary TIM because access to the incident site is often difficult, there is limited space for response operations, and there are more organizations to coordinate.
